Book Review - 'The Man Who Didn't Call' by Rosie Walsh

Updated: Jan 20, 2020

This heart-warming read, would have to be, one of the most enjoyable books I have read this year. What a wonderful story.

Rosie has the ability to bring to life, relatable characters, who make us question our own relationships, and face our own insecurities.

Many women, more than likely, hundreds of thousands, will relate to what Sarah is going through. Imagine meeting the man of your dreams, during a chance encounter, spending a perfect week together, only for him to then disappear without a trace. No calls, no texts, no contact at all.

Sarah is left wondering what went wrong. What did she do? Does he even love her, like he said he does? She thought they had something wonderful. She is determined to find him, and find out why he hasn't been in contact.

It was hard to put this book down. My mind would wander off at work, while I hypothesised about where he may be, and more importantly, why. It made me simply want to skip right to the last page, to find out what happened to Eddie.

A word of advice though.....don't. Because, if you do, you will miss out on a truly tender love story, harbouring some dark secrets, that in the end, will most certainly, touch your heart.

It takes you on a journey of different emotions. Bit by bit, piece by piece, the jigsaw, slowly starts to come together, and when they both discover the truth, can they really make it work?

Pick up this remarkable book yourself, to find out if true love really can conquer all.

I give this book 5 stars.
